Devanagari Lesson 2 Review

In this lesson you learned your first Devanagri letters. You also learned some more rules that govern how the letters create words in Hindi.

makes the "ka" sound.
makes the "ya" sound.
makes the "ra" sound.
makes the "ma" sound.
Although each Devanagari letter forms a syllable of a word, the last letter is usually pronounced without the "a" sound.

Now that we've reviewed the what we've covered, let's read a (very) short dialogue (with characters from Snell). When pronouncing the Hindi names, don't forget the rules for Devanagari sounds using English letters we've chosen.
